Biological Uplift

In the development of science and Technology, some of the facts are not easily understandable and those things are unrevealed things now days. Among those things, Biological Uplift is the amazing scientific fact or fiction which creates different species in the earth.

BIOLOGICAL UPLIFT

Biological uplift is a universal term for the act of an advanced civilization helping the development of another species. This may be done by bringing a non-sapient species into sentience, or by giving a sapient species space faring capabilities.

Uplifting also refers to the theoretical prospect of endowing non-human animals with greater capacities, including especially increased intelligence. It has been postulated that biological uplifting would be accomplished through the application of genetic and transgenic technologies, and possibly even artificial intelligence. From this concept we see some facts and fiction of uplift

Chimera

chimera is an animal that has more different populations of genetically distinct cells that originated in different zygotes if the different cells emerged from the same zygote, it is called a mosaicism. Chimerism is rare in human beings.

In research, chimeras are artificially produced by physically mixing cells from two different organisms. Chimeras are not hybrids, which form from the fusion of gametes from two species (unlike a dog and a fox) that form a single zygote that will develop. In comparison, chimeras are the physical mixing of cells from two independent zygotes: for example, one from the dog and one from the fox. "Chimera" is a broad term and is often applied to many different types of mixing of cells from two different species.

Hybridomas are not true chimeras as described above because they do not result from the mixture of two cell types but result from fusion of two species' cells into a single cell and artificial propagation of this cell in the laboratory. Hybridomas have been very important tools in biomedical research for decades.

In August 2003, Shanghai Second Medical University in China reported that they had successfully fused human skin cells and dead rabbit eggs to create the first human chimeric embryos.

In November 2006, UK researchers from Newcastle University and King's College London applied to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority for a three-year license to fuse human DNA with cow eggs.

Orion's Arm

Orion's is an online science fiction world-building project, founded by M. Alan Kazlev. OA is set over ten thousand years in the future, and adheres to plausible, or "hard" science fiction; that is, no human-like aliens, no literal faster-than-light travel or other violations of the known laws of physics, and no "naval analogy" space battles. Certain speculative technologies, such as the creation of "negative-mass".

Based on the Orion's Concept, here are many types of intelligent life: nearbaselines (enhanced humans), posthumans, cyborgs, vecs (intelligent robots), aioids (intelligent computers), uploads (intelligences transferred into computers), neumanns (self-replicating robots; named for John von Neumann), provolves (animals with enhanced intelligence, similar to "uplift"), rianths (humans with animal DNA spliced in), splices (similar to provolves, upgraded with human DNA), neogens (life genetically synthesized from non-life) and xenosophonts (aliens). Nanotechnology, picotechnology, and femtotechnology are common technical studies under study for the research. Ringworlds, Dyson spheres and other "megastructures" exist. Known space is connected by a network of wormholes.

Transhumanism

Transhumanism (Represented as >H or H+) a term often used as a synonym for "human enhancement", is an international, intellectual and cultural movement supporting the use of technology to enhance human mental and physical abilities and aptitudes, and overcome what it regards as undesirable and unnecessary aspects of the human condition, such as disability, suffering, disease, aging and involuntary death. Its like a cartoon characters like super man, spider man and some fiction characters. Transhumanist thinkers study the possibilities and consequences of developing and using human enhancement techniques and other emerging technologies for these purposes. Possible dangers, as well as benefits, of powerful new technologies that might radically change the conditions of human life are also of concern to the transhumanist movement.

First known use of the term "transhumanism" dates from 1957, Transhumanist thinkers predict that human beings may eventually be able to transform themselves into beings with such greatly expanded abilities as to merit the label "posthuman". Transhumanism is therefore sometimes referred to as "posthumanism" or a form of transformational activism influenced by posthumanist ideals.

Transhumanist foresight of a transformed future humanity has attracted many supporters and detractors from a wide range of perspectives. Transhumanism has been described by one outspoken opponent as the world's most dangerous idea, while a proponent counters that it is the "movement that epitomizes the most daring, courageous, imaginative, and idealistic aspirations of humanity".
